Introducing the Flinders 235 display home

There’s many reasons why our clients choose the Flinders 235—and maybe it’s time you understood why!

Whether you have land but haven’t decided on a builder or you’re tossing up whether to build a house or buy a house—choosing the right home for you and your lifestyle is a tough decision. We often recommend that one of the best ways to select the right home for you is by visiting display homes. Walking through a display home will help you determine what you like and what you don’t, it will also help you get a real feel for a home’s floor plan. Geelong Homes has displays in Geelong and the Surf Coast—the Noble 196 and Thornhill 212 at Anchoridge Estate and the Arcadia 206 at Oakdene Estate in Ocean Grove.

And now you can take a walk through the Flinders 235, our newest display home situated in Armstrong Estate Mt Duneed’s new display village. This is also the first time we have built our popular Bungalow facade on a display in Geelong.

Introducing the Flinders 235

The Flinders 235 has a spacious entry.

Our Flinders 235 display home is a gorgeous home that is flooded with plenty of natural light—which creates a beautiful sense of calm and comfort. Walk through the display home and you’ll find that the Flinders 235 has three distinct zones, at the front of the home is the parents’ retreat, to the back is the kids’ wing and at the heart of the home is the open plan kitchen/living area.

The open plan living, meals and kitchen are light-filled.

The parents’ zone features a spacious master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in robe.

The ensuite has been styled with earthy tones.

Next to it is a formal lounge—a multipurpose space that could be a parent’s only space, a theatre room or rumpus room. This area can be closed off with a door if needed.

The long hallway through the home also features two sets of generous storage cupboards tucked away from sight. The open plan living at the end of the hallway is a light, bright and spacious space. The kitchen features an island bench plus a walk-in pantry—perfect to keep the clutter out of site. It also includes a 900mm oven—an upgraded feature of this home.

The kitchen features 900mm appliances and a genours walk-in pantry.

Head to the kids wing and you’ll see the study nook, a great space that is close for parents to keep an eye on the kids while private enough to keep students focused!

There’s three bedrooms in the kids wing, plus the main bathroom, w/c and laundry.

Another upgrade you will be able to see in this display is the decked alfresco area that looks out to the gorgeous landscaped yard complete with firepit.

Bungalow—modern take on a traditional style

The Geelong Homes Flinders 235 display features the popular Bungalow facade. The Bungalow style of home has been an unrelenting favourite in the Geelong region for more than 100 years! You can still see plenty of the original Californian bungalows in suburbs such as Newtown, Geelong West and East Geelong. In our modern take, the Geelong Homes’ Bungalow facade uses the defining Bungalow characteristics—the gabled roofs, weatherboard walls and small brick porch—modernises it.

The gabled roof and porch is minimised, using sleek weatherboards to create the classic Bungalow form. Bricks are used around the garage—a subtle nod to the more traditional use of brick in constructing a Bungalow’s porch. Instead of a stain-glass window or bay window, the Geelong Homes Bungalow uses a large full panel window—still a design highlight but in a contemporary way.
